The Adult Sports office is located at the Resiliency Center. The Adult Sports program offers free intramural leagues including flag football, volleyball, softball, soccer and basketball. Please check at Gruber Fitness Center for more details. Yearly special events include the Family and MWR/CGSC Triathlon, Family and MWR/USDB Great Escape Run, 5K Turkey Trot, Army Birthday Run, 5K Freedom Run as well as racquetball and tennis tournaments. The Adult Sports program offers sports equipment for checkout free-of-charge.

Please note: Pre-registration for run events ends on the Wednesday before the run. You can still register on the day of the event. However, this will not guarantee a t-shirt and there will be no discount on the entry fee.

Run events are open to the public. Fort Leavenworth is an 'open' installation, which means that the general public is welcome to enter post without a military ID. All visitors and commercial traffic MUST use Grant gate. All visitors older than 16 need a valid government ID card, such as a driver's license, passport or military ID on entering the post. Vehicles must have current tags, proof of insurance and registration. It's convenient if all occupants of the vehicle have their ID cards out and ready.

Army Ten Miler tryouts

Army Ten Miler tryouts will take place Jun. 23 and Aug. 4 at 7 a.m. Race will start and end at the Hancock Gate. Registration will take place the morning of the event. This event is only open to Active Duty Military stationed at Fort Leavenworth. Two teams (one male and one mixed) will be sent to Washington D.C. for the Oct. 21 race. Softball League

Calling all softball players! Intramural softball begins Monday, May 21. Games will be played on Doniphan fields one and two Mon. & Wed. Makeup games will be Tue. & Thur. Intramural teams are open to all ID card holders over the age of 18. All coaches will need to attend a coaches meeting on May 14 at 5 p.m. at the Resiliency Center.
