What is the H2O Card?

The Fort Leavenworth H2O Card is a deployment discount and activity card for Spouses and Families of Deployed Fort Leavenworth Soldiers. Deployment is often a stressful time for both the Soldier and Family. Offering the H20 Card is just a small way we say “thanks”. One card is issued per Family and allows them to enjoy the program benefits.

The Hometown Hero Opportunity (H2O) Card includes everyday benefits, child care discounts, and special events and activities for Families while their deployed loved one is away. The program is a joint effort of all FMWR facilities with the primary goal of supporting Families and thanking them for the sacrifices that they go through as a spouse, son or daughter of a deployed service member. FMWR realizes the difficulty of deployment and is committed to doing their best to make deployment at Fort Leavenworth as pleasant of an experience as possible.

How to apply for an H2O card:

Please complete the application available at Army Community Service (ACS). If you are awaiting orders, you may still register for the program one month prior to your soldier's deployment. Please visit ACS at the Resiliency Center, 600 Thomas Avenue, and ask for assistance from Sara-Jean Baptiste, Mobilization and Deployment Program Manager. She will be able to help verify your Soldier's deployment.

*All MCTP Soldiers must apply for the H2O card through MCTP.

How can I participate as a business?

We are extending invitations to surrounding businesses and organizations in the area to participate in our efforts to thank the Families of our deployed service members. If you are currently providing a military discount or special offer at your business, let us know and we will help you spread the word. On the other hand, if you are not currently providing a discount now is the time to consider it! When you provide an H20 discount, the name of your business is listed on our website along with the discount or special and a link to your website. We provide you with an 8 ½ x 11 sign for display in your business that lets people know you are participating in H20. A person must present the H20 Card AND their military ID card to receive the benefit.
