The Fort Leavenworth Unified School District (USD) 207 serves the children of service members which reside at Fort Leavenworth. USD 207 is a public school system operating under the Kansas State Department of Education. Students in grades K-6 are assigned to one of three elementary schools based on neighborhood. Patton Junior High serves students in grades 7th-9th.  

If you do not reside at Fort Leavenworth, it is possible to complete a non-resident request form for enrollment in a USD 207 school. Applications are considered on a case by case basis by the superintendent and must meet eligibility requirements. Applicants MUST reside in Kansas. To find out more information, click here.

For your preschool through high school students, these schools are the premier choice for academics in a faith filled environment. At Xavier Elementary the Iowa Test of Basic Skills results in most classes in the 90-99th percentile range. * Leavenworth USD 453

Leavenworth High School claims the distinction of having the first official JROTC program in the United States. Although officially formed in 1917, its relationship to Fort Leavenworth dates as far back at 1897 when 30 students visited the commanding general to request that a military officer come to the school to teach military subjects. This active organization is run by the cadets and offers a variety of opportunities. JROTC's mission is "To motivate young people to be better citizens."

High school students residing on Fort Leavenworth attend Leavenworth High School which is a part of Leavenworth USD 453. Leavenworth High School serves students in grades 9th-12th. Students in grades 10th-12th are eligible to ride the school bus to Leavenworth High at no cost. Students in grade 9 who wish to attend Leavenworth High School, may ride the bus for a fee.

One of the goals of the Kansas Early Learning Collaborative (KELC) is to improve outcomes for children, parents and families. KELC is comprised of six state-wide early learning organizations which include:

      - Kansas Children's Service League (KCSL) Healthy Families
